A beta release of the <a href="http://www.remote-exploit.org/index.php/News">BackTrack Network Security Suite</a> (LiveCD) is now available for download! I had to obtain it via a torrent off The Pirate Bay (torrent link: <a href="http://thepiratebay.org/details.php?id=3440304">here</a> (ultimately you want to download the file "backtrack-beta-05022006.iso"). This was definately worth the wait. The Auditor Security Collection (ASC) and WHAX LiveCD distributions merged together at the end of 2005 to form <a href="http://remote-exploit.org/">BackTrack</a>. Basically, it is the best available tool for those interested in any kind of 802.11 wireless snooping/hacking and other kinds of related mischief. It should be noted that there are plenty legitimate uses for this suite of tools as well (for example.. troubleshooting your own wireless equipment).
