modsecurity.org offers an apache2 module known as mod_security. It can help blocka wide variety of common web application vulnerabilities.
I keep getting this error..even after reinstalling XAMPP:
apache.exe: Syntax error on line 145 of C:/www/xampp/apache/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load C:/www/xampp/apache/bin/php5apache2_2.dll into server: A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed.
I did a really thorough reinstall of XAMPP, without copying over any .conf files, and it is now working...
I have used this tool before, but then forgotten about it. Dependency Walker is a VERY useful tool when DLL's are failing to get loaded and you don't know why!
This guy has shared his nagios plugins with the world. How very kind of him! They look like they could be great examples or useful even simply used how they are. Thanks nagios plugin guy.
Today I finally tracked down a S.M.A.R.T. hard drive health monitoring script for nagios. How could this not be a standard plugin? Heh, if my HDD is going to die (or is already dead) (or getting hotter than 52 degrees celcius), I would prefer to know about it!

1. Three smart biker dudes go into a dark closet, where there are five leather jackets that are identical except that three have a Harley-Davidson logo on the back while two have a Mini Cooper logo on the back. Each of the bikers selects a jacket and puts it on without being able to see which one it is. Each of them knows that (1) the closet has three Harley-Davidson jackets and two Mini Cooper jackets, and (2) the other two bikers have the same information.
The bikers emerge from the closet wearing the jackets, and while each biker can see which jackets the other two are wearing, he cannot see what he is wearing. The first biker looks at the other two, thinks, and says, "Dude, I have no idea what I'm wearing." The second biker looks at the other two, thinks, and says, "Dude, me neither." The third biker, who is still wearing a headcast from his last accident and can't see a thing, nonetheless says, "Dude--I know what I'm wearing!" Which jacket is he wearing?

There is a straight path running by the playground that, at its closest point, is 30 meters from the middle of the carousel.
